Massage Video!! More Than A Luxury...Massage Is A Necessity! See Why You Can't Do Without.
Today we visited the Hartsville Holistic Health Center in Warminster, PA to visit with two incredible massage therapists--Herta Rosen and Cathy Scarpello. Dahvia and I were able to experience Herta's healing hands in a session prior to the interview. I'm sure I can speak for us both when I say the experience was more than exhilarating...it was truly healing. Herta made me feel so taken care of while she massaged my knotted muscles with such intuition and knowledge. This is not something I've experienced with many massage therapists who seem to work on me like it's their job. I left Herta's office feeling soothed from head to toe - body, mind AND soul.
Herta and Cathy sat down with us to discuss some important benefits of massage--some of which you might not have heard of before. I used to think massage was just a luxury, but now I am coming to understand it is crucial to our physical and emotional wellbeing. I will never again write off massage as a luxury I can't afford.

If you've been diagnosed with a chronic pain related disease, you might be surprised to find that your pain could be unrelated to your diagnosis. This 5 minute video discusses another reason millions of people suffer from this pain needlessly and how it can be treated. Postural distortion is an issue so many people do not understand and Cathy sums it up beautifully.
I have been giving myself daily massage (Abhyanga) for about 5 months now. Abhyanga's purpose is to stimulate the marma points, dislodge toxins from the body and to massage oil with specially prepared herbs into the skin. I have noticed a change in the way my body feels and even looks since I have been practicing this form of 'self care' as Herta calls it. My spider veins, which had been getting worse and worse, have virtually disappeared. The pesky cellulite on the backs of my thighs has become much smoother. My skin feels AMAZING, and it has never looked better. Aside from that, my overall health feels better when I practice self massage. If I skip a day I definitely feel it. It feels like my body fluids are 'stagnant.' And I feel much more achey when I don't do my daily abhyanga. Self massage is so important, but receiving massage is equally beneficial...especially when given by a true healer.

Hello, I am Debbie and I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. I would really like to know how to do self-massage... where to start and how to move your hands in the proper way. Can you do that step-by-step for those of us with fibromyalgia? I cannot afford a regular one. When I tried acupuncture it was so painful I could not stand it even for just a minute.
