2 WEEKS INTO THE TREATMENT PLAN
Well, I have had two visits to the Ayurvedic doctor and I would like to start by saying I am feeling better! It has been 2 weeks since my first visit with my Ayurvedic doctor, Marianne Teitelbaum. I have been strictly following her guidelines for wellness and it seems to have paid off. I have been feeling less pain and am able to do much more than I was before. Also, my stomach is feeling much better than it has in a long time.
I do have some new symptoms, though. I have been extremely exhausted throughout the day…to the point that I can’t do anything but just lie down and go to sleep. My brain is foggier than ever…I write notes to remind myself of things and sometimes I will think of something I have to do and by the time I get to the notepad, I forget what I was going to write down. I forget my purse at home, I forget the reason I went upstairs, I forget I have laundry in the washer, I forget what I was saying…I forget everything!
Also, I have been having some really sick nightmares. The worst by far happened 2 nights ago. In my dream Luke and I were moving into a new apartment. There was a guy who lived in the complex that I had a crush on. I thought he was a nice guy. I was hesitant about moving in because Nick and I were recently engaged and I didn’t want any weird temptations. We moved in anyway. He wanted to show me a secret area of the complex, so he brought Luke and I back to this industrial area. Luke and I sat on the edge of a giant, jagged and deep cliff like hole in the ground. Luke started to color. While Luke was looking down, the seeming nice guy opened his fly and began to reach his hand inside to take IT out. As he was doing that he looked at Luke with mal intent. Anger and disgust rose up inside me and I pushed the pervert into the hole. I thought the crooked bar sticking out of the side of the crevice was going to slice him in half, right up the middle starting at his crotch. But instead his leg ended up getting caught behind the pole and ripped the skin entirely from the bone. He looked up at me like it hurt, but not near as much as it should have, and with a new accent reminiscent of a NYC drug dealer type he said, “you’re dead, bitch.” I cannot for the life of me imagine why something so disturbing was brought depths of my psyche, or how it even got there in the first place. I woke up feeling shocked and sickened.
The doctor says all this is part of the process. The “AMA” or toxins that have settled into my body have started to dislodge and they are creating exhaustion, forgetfulness and nightmares. Whatever it is, I’m just happy that the change is NOT more pain.
She added these herbal supplements to my treatment plan.
Fatigue Formula tablets—2 a day
Wild Amla tablets—alkalizes the physiology
Nirgundi—draws toxins out of the joints
